Trinity 06262015

Meet Trinity!

Trinity came to our shelter with her litter of 2.5 week-old kittens. She had been dumped on the property of a friend of our shelter when she was pregnant, and gave birth to her kittens in a woodpile.

It took a few weeks for her rescuer to gain her trust and capture her and all of her babies, and then she came to our shelter. She has been a great mom but is definitely ready for a life of leisure and luxury! Even when her kittens were very small and still nursing, Trinity wanted to greet every person who came into her room at the shelter.

She loves being petted and can’t wait to start her new life as a valued indoor cat who doesn’t have to worry about wandering stray or giving birth anymore!

The Bears from Cub Scout Pack 176 in Quantico spent time at our facility today being of service. They raked leaves, cleared trails and bagged tennis balls for us. They also had fun meeting some of our adoptable animals.

Thank you for being such hard workers and for making a difference for the animals!

Check out Acorn's progress!
Acorn is doing amazingly well in his foster home after his amputation. Thank you AGAIN to everyone who donated to make his surgery possible.
He is back to his old self, wanting nothing more than to snuggle with his people. He still has to wear his cone when he's alone in his recovery crate, but lucky for him, his foster family spends so much time with him in their arms that he doesn't have to wear it too often!
We just can't believe how amazingly well he's doing already!
